An exciting bulb from Baha California, this species is very rarely seen and even
more rarely offered for sale.  It can be finicky in cultivation sprouting erratically, but my
bulbs have settled in and bloom reliably.

.Ismene is a small genus of about ten species from Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador
closely related to Hymenocallis, with a prominent central cup. I. hawkesii is very rare. and

Very rarely seen in cultivation, this beautiful species comes from central and
northern Chile.  The flower is something like a Rhodophiala, but with a central corona
like a daffodil's cup.  The color of this species is creamy white with red stripes, the

elegant flowers on short stems.  The flowers are smaller than S. formosissima and have
ribbon like petals.

Traubia modesta is an exceptionally rare species from Chile.  It is from coastal
regions where it is in danger of extinction. Our bulbs were grown from seed rescued
from highway construction.  The dainty flowers are pale pink with deeper striations and
an inner corona very similar to a small Placea.
