This rare form of T. laxa is huge. The umbels are as much as 10″ across, and each floret has petals that are almost succulent in texture. Almost certainly a polyploidal form.

This very rare species is found only on San Clemente Island off
the coast of southern California. Blooms very early with lovely pale lavender flowers deeply veined with purple.
