Deep lilac flowers on 12-18″ stems, with fringed petals and inner purple markings. These lovely flowers are lightly scented. Very similar in appearance to C. splendens, but is thought to be a tetraploid.

This rare and unusual Calochortus has small petals that are yellow and red. Very unusual.

Bomarea petraea

Bomareas are tuberous-rooted twining climbers found from Mexico on south through the tropics and into the Andes as far as Patagonia. There are approximately 100 species. They are plants of the
forest understorey, where they twine through adjacent vegetation, benefiting from the light shade. The lovely flowers clearly demonstrate their close relationship to Alstroemerias, and are producedin dense trusses at the ends of the growing shoots. Under greenhouse conditions, or in mild winter regions, these are easy plants to grow, and will reward you with profuse flowering over a long season. All Bomareas are shipped in pots, since it is best that their roots not be disturbed.
Zones 8-10.

Leucocoryne incrassata

Native to Chile, Leucocoryne grow in grasslands in habitats similar to those of our native Brodiaeas, to which they are related. Growing in the mild, rainy winters of Chile, Leucocorynes produce their showy
flowers in late winter. Many are scented, and Leucocorynes make wonderful cut flowers since they last for an amazingly long time in water. The genus Pabellonia encompasses those species with fleshy
appendages, but are included here under Leucocoryne. Most species are hardy to Zones 7-8, but all need a warm, dry summer dormancy. AVAILABLE AUGUST-OCTOBER

Brodiaea purdyi

The Brodiaea group includes Brodiaea, Triteleia, Dichelostemma, Bloomeria and a few others, all very closely related genera. All are
native to the western USA and produce flowers in an umbel. The are ideally suited to the wild garden, or planted with
grasses in a wildflower meadow. Easy and undemanding, most members of the Brodiaea group need a dry summer rest. If
you live in the west, these should be in your garden.
