This week’s Bulb of the Week is something truly special — a Telos-exclusive hybrid between Hippeastrum marginata and Hippeastrum bosmaniae.

These are mature, blooming-size bulbs — bringing you one step closer to experiencing their spectacular flowers in your own collection.

The blooms are extraordinary: brilliant coral-red to hot-pink flowers with long, graceful petals and dramatic stamens, opening in clusters that create an almost firework-like display.

This isn’t an ordinary commercially produced Hippeastrum. This hybrid is exclusive to Telos Rare Bulbs, created from two remarkable species and grown as part of the Telos collection in the Ferndale Valley of Northern California.

AVAILABILITY

Bulbs from the western United States as well as most bulbs from South African, such as Ixia, Lachenalia, Gladiolus and Moraea, can only be shipped when dormant in summer.

Bulbs in the Family Amaryllidaceae, such as Brunsvigia, Boophone, Hippeastrum and Phaedranassa, can be shipped year round.

Species that have the notation ‘Out of Stock’ are temporarily unavailable due to seasonal restrictions and will appear later in the year.
