TELOS RARE BULBS

About Telos

Telos Rare Bulbs is a small privately-owned nursery. Our specialty is in rare or hard-to-find bulbs that are not available elsewhere. Our goal is to offer as wide a range as possible of rare and unusual selections. Because of the wide variety we grow, and the difficulty of obtaining seed, many of the species offered are available in very limited quantities.

Most of the species in our collection are grown from seed. Rare or endangered species are grown exclusively from seed obtained from plants in cultivation, always from legitimate sources. Seed-grown bulbs are preferable to vegetatively produced bulbs, since the bulbs produced from seed are variable genetically, and are free of virus.

Members of the Family Amaryllidaceae are shipped with their roots on.

Brunsvigia bosmaniae

Most of the bulbs offered are mature, but since it can sometimes take many years for large bulbs to reach flowering size, some are offered as immature bulbs. We do not sell ANY wild-collected bulbs, and do not condone harvesting bulbs from the wild.

If you have bought from us before, you may notice that some bulbs that were listed last year are not in this year¹s catalogue. Some of the species we sell are taking a year or two off so that their numbers can once again build up. They have not necessarily been discontinued. If you are looking for a bulb that was previously listed, be patient! It will very likely be back in a future catalogue.

Our bulbs are guaranteed healthy when they are shipped from our nursery. However, because of different growing conditions we cannot extend this guarantee beyond that. If you have a problem with the bulbs you receive from us, please let us know and we will make every effort to correct it.

Because of our small size we are unable to receive visitors to our nursery. We will try to respond to e-mail inquiries, but during the busy shipping season there might be a delay, so
please be patient!
