Griffinia is a small genus of bulbs in the Family Amaryllidaceae found in remnant forests of Brazil where they are severely under
threat from loss of habitat. They grow in the Atlantic coastal forests in humid conditions in the forest understory. There are about
fifteen species. Griffinia make excellent house plants, since they are adapted to low light, and will bloom repeatedly throughout the
year if they are happy.
Griffinia espiritensis.
An outstanding Griffinia severely endangered in the wild, with beautiful sapphire blue flowers. Blooms repeatedly and makes an excellent houseplant. Not difficult to grow.
