Rauhia is small genus of bulbs native to Peru that are very rarely seen in cultivation. The elegant greenish tubular flowers are
usually produced in the late winter or spring and are followed by large leathery elliptical leaves. Native to warm regions,
they require greenhouse conditions in most climates and must be kept dry during dormancy.
R. staminosa has thick glaucous leaves and graceful jade green flowers that are held in an umbel.
